Our History

Honor My Wishes is a coalition of volunteers whose vision is for society to plan effectively for end of life concerns and to make discussions about such issues becoming a normal part of our conversations.

Located in Enumclaw, Washington, a small city southeast of Seattle, our members first started as “Respecting Choices of Enumclaw” and were trained by Respecting Choices™ of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. We developed an Advance Directive for the State of Washington and helped facilitate its use on the Enumclaw Plateau. As others asked about estate, funeral and related issues, in 2005 we created the comprehensive end-of-life planning tool called the Honor My Wishes guidebook, with national resources listed. We are now proud to offer this resource at no cost online. It is still available in two versions for distribution on a donation basis – a 3-ring binder and a soft-spiral version.

We are a nonprofit 501c (3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible and will ensure our products and services remain available to the public.
